Illustration of relative maturity of software and processes in Customer Communications Management

Just a quick one that I put together last night. Whilst not comprehensive and we could move things around a little more, the diagram above illustrates the maturity of some of the key components of customer communications management. This one doens’t focus upon e-mail and some of the newer communication channels so much but rather, the major elements of the customer communications management process.

On the right, we start with document composition – it has been around a long time and move to the left towards the evolving concepts.

The diagram isn’t faultless and I’ll be evolving it some more in the coming weeks.
